Do YOU have an idea worth spreading?
The mission of TEDxSouthlake is to be a catalyst for positive change, opening minds with inspiring ideas. Our goal is to present talks on issues that matter to our community and to spark meaningful dialogue that leads to real change.
Apply to be a speaker at TEDxSouthlake 2026, taking place on November 8th, 2026. TEDx is an independently organized event, licensed by TED, and dedicated to amplifying ideas that inspire, challenge, and unite us.
As we enter our seventh year, our 2026 theme is "Unlearn." This theme is a powerful reflection of the times we’re living in—a reminder that the most significant growth happens not when we add new information, but when we have the courage to dismantle what we thought was certain.
In an age of echo chambers and rigid expertise, "Unlearn" calls us to move beyond the comfort of our own narratives. It is an invitation to listen with the intent to be changed, and to recognize that progress often requires us to abandon the maps that no longer serve us. Now more than ever, we need ideas that don’t just reinforce our biases but challenge us to see the world with fresh eyes. Let’s clear the canvas—together.
If you have a clear, compelling idea that ties into this theme — and you can share it in 12-15 minutes of talk — we invite you to apply. As part of the application process, you’ll be asked to submit a short video, no more than 2 minutes, presenting your idea.
UPDATE: Speaker Applications CLOSED FOR 2026
The countdown to TEDxSouthlake 2026 has begun, and we are officially looking for the voices that will help us "Unlearn." We believe the most transformative ideas don't just add to what we know—they challenge what we’ve always taken for granted. Do you have a perspective that dismantles an old way of thinking? An idea that requires us to shed our biases to see a new path forward?
The stage is waiting for your idea worth spreading. Whether you are an innovator, a dreamer, or a provocateur, we invite you to help us rewrite the narrative. Don't wait to share your vision—apply today and be part of our seventh year of inspiration.

What to Expect
If selected for the next round, you may choose to work with a speaking coach to help refine your talk. While TEDxSouthlake does not provide in-house coaching, applicants may be referred to Global Speakers Circle (GSC) — a nonprofit community that supports idea-driven speakers.
A few things to know:
-
Coaching is optional but encouraged if your talk needs development.
-
GSC offers a 16-session coaching experience (each session is 45 minutes).
-
Coaching costs are the speaker’s responsibility.
-
Participation in coaching does not guarantee a spot at TEDxSouthlake 2025.
-
If referred after July/August, coaching may not be completed in time for this year’s event. However, it could prepare you for a future TEDx or other speaking opportunity.
We’re excited to hear your idea — and we can’t wait to see how you interpret Unlearn: Let Go of What Limits You. Apply now and bring your voice to the TEDxSouthlake stage. (Update: Application window now CLOSED)
